LEADERSHIP, ETHICS AND DEVELOPMENT (L.E.A.D.)

Baltimore Advocacy for Reconciliation, Incorporated will address the corruption in leadership by providing a comprehensive leadership and ethics program called Leadership, Ethics and Development. Our research tells us that the problem with leadership in government and business is the lack of accountability to ethics. We will target the demographics of politicians, business leaders, clergy, community activists and educators. We want to prepare young leaders as well by training them to be seasoned leaders that are accountable to their communities. L.E.A.D. is also a watchdog arm to hold all leaders accountable to the needs of the community. This will be accomplished in two parts: 1. Provide training to leaders through workshops, seminars and conferences; 2. Provide a presence at city council, board of estimate and other critical meetings to make sure leaders are fulfilling their obligations. L.E.A.D. will use the internet, Facebook, newsletters, letters, etc. to reach the public. It is important to develop a rating system. We do not want leaders to be accountable to Baltimore Advocacy for Reconciliation, Incorporated. That is not our goal. We want to see leaders obey the ethic challenge of leadership. Therefore, we do not want leaders accountable to special interests groups, the wealthy and lobbyists. The needs of the people should never be outweighed by the needs of the unfortunates.

L.E.A.D. will work in a group dynamic and/or one-on-one setting to develop skills that will make better leaders and future leaders. 22 lessons in leadership and 22 lessons in ethics have been identified:
